In modern and ancient times, there exist three species of dragons that are separated by regions. The three types of dragons are European, Eastern, and North American. The European dragons are known for their enormous wingspan and for having a spiked tail. The Eastern dragons have a thinner upper body, which increases their speed for flight. They also possess longer talons to ensnare their prey. The North American dragons have nostrils the size of Michelins to smell their prey up to miles away from them. They also feature a much larger body than both the Eastern and European dragons due to over-eating before hibernation. Despite the differences, they all have a destructive and bloodthirsty temperament. The only way to kill a dragon is to find a Gnome. Gnomes are the only species of Links that have had any success against slaying dragons, mostly accidental slayings given that Gnomes are extreme cowards. Gnomes are also the preferred food source of the dragons, so, be sure to take note of the environment you are entering before the dragon arrives. Even with all the information currently on dragons on being mean and nasty, they can be a benign species at times. However, when crossed any dragon can be an even worse nightmare than Gargoyles or even the nameless fallen king of Links. Who, at one time, once ruled the dragons as he did most of the Links. The dragons, in fact, were one of the vital elements in that beings fall from grace. This lead to their attainment of freedom but it left them no leadership or structure. They were abandoned in a time of need by the various species and beings that orchestrated the fall. After some brief clashing the dragons found themselves in a civil war. After the end of the civil war, three species moved on and evolved in the different parts of the world. It is a shame considering the intelligence of these beasts, that the power of being feared and worshipped led them to becoming arrogant and power hungry.
