As one of the more traditional figments from childhood imagination, these Links have in fact not changed too much. The fantasy books and childhood stories stay true to the history of Goblin culture except for a few minor differences. One of them, is that Goblins are really lackeys for many witches and warlocks. They are actually pretty bright, although very sarcastic.

Goblins were never very pretty, except in a time long past, but the green skin stems from a failed attempt to usurp the power witches and warlocks have over them. To insure that Goblins would never attempt another uprising, the Guiild of Witchcraft bestowed a curse of green skin and an ugly face. What you never knew was that Goblins at one time the most beautiful, handsome, and benevolent creatures on the planet before the Guild saw the potential in them to help infuse some new energy into the Guild. They were originally welcomed into the Guild as equals and to protect the earth from those who would harm it. Remember not all witches and warlocks are bad. Then the dark side of the Guild reigned supreme giving witchcraft a bad name though out our known history. All attempts at reversing the curse have failed, leaving the Goblins no options left other than being lackeys of the dark witches and warlocks of the world leaving their disposition not very friendly. It will take a lot to mend the pain Goblins have been inflicted with for so long.
